Bridging the Gap Between Tech and People.

Hi, I'm John. I'm in my 40s and have spent my career turning complex IT solutions into compelling stories. When I'm offline, I'm playing guitar, climbing a Colorado 14er, or hunting for the perfect slice of pizza.

About Me

I believe that life is about balance. By day, I immerse myself in the fast-paced world of IT marketing, helping enterprises understand the value of complex technology. By night and on the weekends, I disconnect completely.

Whether my fingers are flying across the fretboard of a classic Stratocaster, gripping the granite of a Colorado mountain trail, or grabbing a hot slice of pepperoni pizza, I bring the same passion to my personal life as I do to my professional career.

IT Marketing Professional

Translating code into value.

Working in IT marketing requires a unique translation layer. You have to understand the deep technical architecture of server racks, cloud networks, cybersecurity, and SaaS platforms, and turn that into a narrative that resonates with C-level executives.

Over the years, I've spearheaded go-to-market strategies for enterprise tech companies, ensuring that brilliant engineering gets the spotlight it deserves. I specialize in product launches, technical copywriting, and B2B campaign management.

The Guitar Collection

There's nothing quite like the warm tone of a well-aged acoustic or the bite of a classic electric. Here are a few of my favorites.

Conquering Longs Peak: The Keyhole Route

August 12, 2025

Longs Peak is a rite of passage for Colorado hikers. We started at the trailhead at 2:00 AM to beat the afternoon thunderstorms. Reaching the Boulder Field as the sun came up was magical, but stepping through the Keyhole itself is where the real adventure begins. The wind hit us like a freight train, and the exposure on the Narrows definitely got my heart rate up. Summiting felt incredible—a huge accomplishment after 15 miles and 5,000 feet of elevation gain.

Mount Elbert: Standing on Top of Colorado

July 04, 2025

Decided to celebrate Independence Day by hiking the highest peak in the state. Elbert is considered a "gentle giant" because it doesn't have the technical exposure of Longs, but don't let that fool you—the false summits are brutal on your morale! I took the Northeast Ridge route. The altitude really kicks in past 13,000 feet, turning every step into a calculated effort. The panoramic view of the Sawatch Range from the summit was totally worth the burning lungs.

A Sunrise Ascent of Mount Bierstadt

June 18, 2025

Bierstadt is often the first 14er people tackle, and for good reason. It's close to Denver and relatively straightforward. I decided to do a sunrise hike to avoid the infamous summer crowds at Guanella Pass. Hiking through the willows by headlamp was peaceful. Watching the sunrise paint the surrounding peaks in brilliant oranges and purples while scrambling up the final rocky pitch is a memory I won't soon forget.
